What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and fosters healing. The term “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “Rei” (universal) and “Ki” (life energy). Practitioners use a hands-on (or hands-off) technique to transfer universal energy through the palms to the recipient, promoting relaxation, balance and healing in the body.

During a Reiki session at KMY, you will lie down, fully clothed, while I gently place my hands above or on various parts of your body depending on your preference. Integrating Reiki with Yoga and Meditation
Reiki perfectly complements our existing yoga and meditation programs. While yoga helps in maintaining physical fitness and flexibility, and meditation fosters mental clarity and emotional stability, Reiki adds another layer of healing by addressing the energetic imbalances in the body. Together, these practices create a comprehensive wellness experience that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.
About My Reiki Journey
After personally experiencing the powerful healing benefits of Reiki, I was inspired to begin my own Reiki journey in 2023. I have since earned my Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Ryoho Reiki Master certification through The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), under the mentorship of ICRT President William Lee Rand.
Today, I offer Reiki healing sessions in Branford, Connecticut, and remotely via Zoom. I also serve as a Reiki volunteer with Yale New Haven Hospital’s Oasis for Healing Program, where I provide compassionate Reiki to patients and their families during times of need.
